I is for Incense

Incense. It seems that all magick practitioners burn it. But why?

Some people burn incense during rituals, others burn it when meditating or in prayer, and others just like the way it smells. It is used to purify spaces, make offerings to gods and goddesses, and to amplify intentions as well as other uses. Incense is one of the oldest forms of magick dating back to Egyptian time and even the story of Jesus’s birth had incense as a gift.

Incense comes in all scents including popular patchouli, lovely lavender and earthy eucalyptus. It comes in different varieties like sticks and cones.

What’s your favorite incense scent? Let us know in the comments.
